This research aims to study the emphasis laid by fifth grade primary school science text book on philosophical skills. Research method was descriptive survey. The statistical population are all teachers of primary school of Hamedan city with total 1105 person. Using ratio stratified random sampling method and based on Kerjcie an Morgan table about 285 person (241 woman and 44 man)were selected as statistical sample. The data gathering instrument was researcher made philosophical skills assessment questionnaire that its validity appreciated by experts and its reliability using Cronbach alpha coefficient computed about ./.82.the statistical method were descriptive statistic indices such as mean،graph and percent and one sample T test and non - parametric x2. Research findings showed that the science text book have high emphasis on all components of philosophical skill that is criticism, communication ،reasoning ،perception، curiosity and inquiry.
